Sad news hit the club again last week when we heard that Stuart Arnold had passed away suddenly. 

Stuart was a Life Member and a former long-serving secretary of Tonna RFC. He was Club Secretary for over ten years until standing down when he became ill, only to come out of retirement for a further two years to help when when no one else would take on the role. A lot of the work that he did was behind the scenes dealing with the WRU, the local councils and the club's solicitors.

Stuart taught a lot of Tonna RFC players in Neath Grammar School, and he was involved in the running of the Neath Schools rugby team. He enjoyed going to Cardiff to watch Wales play and was always a respected and popular ambassador for Tonna RFC.

He will be sadly missed by all at the club and our thoughts are with Susan and Dean at this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are Tuesday February 28 - 10.30 at Noddfa Newydd Chapel, 11.30 in Margam Crematorium, followed by refreshments at Tonna RFC.
